How to share pet-care instructions with a sitter
Pet Passbook lets you share selected care details through a link that opens in a browser. Your sitter does not need an account. Create your pet’s passbook, choose the details for the handoff, and send the link directly to the person caring for them.
What can I choose to share?
A General Pass lets you select whole chapters, such as daily routines, food, or health notes. Plus adds individual field controls and recipient presets. Review the preview before sending a link, especially when notes include personal information.
Who can open the link?
Anyone who has a working share link can open its selected details. Treat it as a private handoff: send it directly to a trusted carer and ask them not to forward it. Search exclusion is not a password or an access-control mechanism.
Can I stop sharing later?
Yes. Revoke a pass to stop future access. A General Pass can also be regenerated, which invalidates its previous link and printed QR code. Revocation cannot remove screenshots, downloads, or information someone has already saved.
What should I send separately?
Home-entry codes and sensitive access instructions are best sent directly to the person who needs them. They are excluded from default sharing selections. Check your selected chapters and fields every time rather than assuming everything in your passbook should be shared.

- Choose the chapters needed by this carer.
- Preview the pass to check what the recipient will see.
- Send the link directly and confirm the carer can open it.
- Revoke access when the handoff is no longer needed.
